The Trust was set up in 2009 to assist Grays Athletic Football Club

·         To assist the club to create funds via sponsorship and fundraising, with things like advertising, Golden Goals, Community Chest ticket sales, events, raffles and draws

For as long as we have representatives of the supporters on the committee, or a majority of supporters say so, the key principles of the GAFC 1890 Trust will be that it is formal, inclusive, affordable, democratic and non-profit making

The Trust is administered and run by its members for the sole purpose of benefiting the members and the community of the club that they support.

The Trust is totally independent of the club

Everything the Trust does is guided and controlled by its constitution.

The constitution will guarantee that :-

·         The Trust must operate for the benefit of the community that it serves

·         The Trust’s members and officers will not profit from the Trust

The Trust is set up as an Industrial & Provident Society (IPS) which is fully regulated by the Industrial and Provident Societies Act, and is accountable for all its financial dealings and transactions to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The profit or surplus of the Trust can only be used to maintain reserves and expenditure to achieve the Trust’s objectives.
