The Trust Committee recently asked members if there were any objections to providing the club with financial assistance towards the necessary improvements to Rush Green in order to secure the required ground grading to play there next season.
The Trust Committee would further like to canvas members in relation to providing the club with a further £3,000 from Trust funds. This is not for the Rush Green project, but for the cost of the planning application for the new ground in Grays. The Trust Committee believe that this is a very worthwhile cause, and do have these funds available. As ever, we represent the fans and will not provide this money to the club if there are objections from a number of fans.
If you wish to raise concerns or objections then please let any member of the Trust Committe know.

During our Trust meeting last night our CEO and Chairman (Andy and Keith) came along to update us on the move to Rush Green for next season. The ground grading inspection is due toward the end of March and the preparations are beginning this week with the pitch being dug up.
The club have asked the Trust if we could release £ 4,000 of our funds to help cover the costs of preparing the pitch and the ground facilities to bring them up to the correct grading. After discussion between the committee members it was agreed, in principle, to release the monies but we obviously need feedback from our members as to their opinion. If you speak to any committee member by Forum PM, email or at Wednesdays match we will answer any queries on this matter.
The committee feel that it would be beneficial to all concerned to help in this way so that we can begin to regain our own identity prior to our eventual return to our town at a future date.
9th December 2011
Following last night’s (8th December 2011) meeting with Club Chairman Keith Burns, and club CEO Andy Swallow, the Supporters Trust Committee would like to state that we are 100% behind the decisions the club makes regarding its immediate relocation plans, and would ask our members to also support their decision.
Whilst there is some disappointment that we may be playing outside of the borough next season, we support the clubs view that out long term future lies in Grays, and we strongly believe that the clubs management team is working with the Council and doing all they can to ensure this happens. We see playing outside of the borough as something we need to endure to realise our dreams of returning to a new ground in Grays.
As ever, the Supporters Trust is the voice of the fans, so please do not hesitate to relay your thoughts to any Trust Committee member.
We (The Trust Committee) represent you (The Fan), and with numbers now over 100, our voice is strong. Please let us know if do not agree with the clubs relocation plan, as ultimately we represent the fans of GAFC.
In the mean time we will be working closely with the club to assist them with any help they may need.

Last night the trust committee appointed a new chairman, Phil Boston.
Phil had this to say;
"I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to Grays Supporters who do not know me.
Most fellow supporters know me as ‘Stiffordblue’, as I run the prediction league on the forum.
Now I have the great honour to be the new Supporters Trust Chairman.
I have been a Grays Athletic fan of 30 years.
Home and Away for the last 6 years, through the Trophy wins, the Conference years now as a team fighting to return to the highest level possible.
It is our aim to help reclaim our team to reach this goal .
I must thank our outgoing chairman Steve Allen .
He has provided the foundations for the Trust to carry forward our work to raise funds for Grays FC. and the Trust .
Steve will still be a active member of our committee.
Our fund raising is now at £6,000, so we are well on the way to reaching our target.
The `GOLDEN GRAYS' is a source of sponsorship many fans have taken up, for as little 50p you could help our aim to raise funds for a 3rd year ground share.
Andrew Packer or any committee member will help you with any queries regarding this.
I would lastly like to thank my fellow committee members for electing me as chair”
